Check out a video we made of us snorkeling the Simpson Shipwreck below:
We depart from Pirates Cove Marina, east Panama City Beach. From here, we make our way to the Gulf Of America and cruise the entire coast of Shell Island. We will look for sea life along the coast of Shell Island. It is very common to see dolphins along this route. We also sometimes see manatees, small sharks, rays, and different kinds of seabirds.
Once we pass Shell Island we will stop at the remains of the Simpson Tug Shipwreck, for some snorkeling. This wreck sits in 20 to 25 feet of water.
After our Shipwreck snorkeling adventure, we cruise to Crooked Island. Crooked Island is a completely secluded piece of nature, almost completely untouched by humans. There are no buildings and no roads her. We are often the only sign of humanity around as far as the eye can see.
Here, you can do some shallow water snorkeling in pristine untouched seagrass beds and explore some of the most untouched beaches in Florida. You will find an abundance of sea shells here. You are welcome to take any shells home as long as there are no live animals living in them. We will explore multiple snorkeling sites around this area.
There is nothing but nature here. We recommend bringing food and snacks for the day. Bottled water and an iced cooler is provided. You are welcome to bring any alcoholic beverages. Please drink responsibly.
